At the western end of the Route, or Old Sixty-Six, if you travel that far, or if you are getting ready to go, it's worth poking around a little at the local spots, and Rob Morris' Malibu Beach Cafe is one of them. It used to be called that anyway. It's a fine place to put your feet in the sand and have some nice food, maybe a Mojito, and watch the kids play in the surf.
